As shared previously, Wadhurst is placing a strong focus this year on metacognition, helping students to think about their thinking, reflect on how they learn best, and develop practical strategies to become more independent, resilient learners.

To support this whole-school focus, we are pleased to invite you to an optional parent workshop on metacognition, led by educational consultant Sally Learey, who has been working with our teaching staff this year.

This interactive session will explore what metacognition is, why it matters, and how parents can support their sons to become more reflective and strategic learners at home. Metacognition is a powerful tool to elevate learning – it helps students unlock their potential by building greater self-awareness, improving focus, and enabling more effective and purposeful study habits.

We warmly encourage you to attend if you're curious about how your son is learning, and how you can further support his development beyond the classroom. This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with the learning culture at Wadhurst and to engage with some of the key ideas underpinning our teaching and learning this year.

We look forward to welcoming you on the night.

Registrations close Friday 20 June.
