Cybersafety Project: Parent and Son Workshop

Date Thursday 12 June 2025
6.30pm - 8.00pm
LocationWadhurst Hall
1 Domain Road, Melbourne VIC 3004

The leap from primary to secondary school marks one of the biggest transitions in a young person's life. It's also a time when many young people first experience digital independence with access to a personal device and join social networks.

This interactive workshop is designed to arm Year 7 and 8 students in the first or second year of their transition from primary school with the tools, strategies and resources to thrive and stay safe in a hyper connected digital world.

Bringing together students and their parents, the workshop provides the opportunity for timely conversations about digital safety and wellbeing.

Connecting online, especially with friends, can be fun but it's important to know how to be safe whilst doing so. To stay safe, we must consider where we are online, who can see us in the different spaces we go online and think carefully about the types of information we share.

Registrations close Thursday 5 June.
