Old Melburnians living in Sydney and wider New South Wales are invited to the Old Melburnians Sydney Branch Business Lunch on Thursday 13 November 2025.

By popular demand, we welcome our guest speaker Tim Washinton (OM 2001), Founder and CEO of JET Charge. In conversation over lunch, Tim will share his remarkable journey from corporate law to cleantech entrepreneurship, and what it takes to build a future-focused business in a rapidly evolving industry. Read more about Tim below.

Now in its second year, this lunch is a chance to catch up with friends, hear news from Melbourne, and make new connections with Old Melburnians living in Sydney, or passing through. Join members of the Old Melburnians Council, including Martin Scott KC (OM 1980), Edwina Burn (OM 2004) and Nick Newton (OM 1972), as well as Headmaster, Philip Grutzner (OM 1981).

Old Melburnians are welcome to bring one guest. Places are limited and sell quickly. Book early to avoid disappointment.

We thank Nicholas Guyatt (OM 1965) for his continued support of Old Melburnian gatherings at the Australian Club in Sydney.

Registrations close midnight, Thursday 6 November.

To stay connected to the Sydney Branch, local Old Melburnians can join the dedicated WhatsApp group here.

Our aim is to reach as many Old Melburnians living in and around Sydney as possible, with the hope of strengthening our vibrant, diverse and thriving community.
