Melbourne Grammar School will be hosting a Cocktail Party for our Grammar Family in New York on Saturday 1 February 2025.

Whether you're an Old Melburnian, a parent, or a friend of the School – living in New York or just passing through – please join us at The Murdoch Center, 'Australia's home in New York', boasting a truly unparalleled view of the city.

At this special event, you will have the chance to meet Melbourne Grammar School Chairman, Andrew Michelmore AO (OM 1970), guest speaker, Steve Hasker (OM 1986), President and CEO of Thomson Reuters, and many other members of our community living in the US.

Steve will explore the challenges and opportunities media organisations face in an era increasingly shaped by Artificial Intelligence. Drawing on his extensive experience, he will look at how traditional media agencies can reimagine their role amidst the rise of citizen journalism, embrace emerging technologies and stay relevant in a rapidly evolving digital age. He will explore complex questions about authenticity, public trust, and the critical importance of human judgment in safeguarding the integrity of news and information. You can read more about Steve below.

Registrations close Wednesday 22 January 2025. Guests are welcome.
