Predating Test cricket, the spirited rivalry between Melbourne Grammar School and Sydney Grammar School began in 1876.
To celebrate this remarkable 150-year tradition, Melbourne Grammar School warmly invites current and former players, staff, coaches, and the families of the 2026 teams from both Schools to a commemorative dinner at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Thursday 22 January 2026.
Each January, the two Schools compete in the 'Tri-Grammar' Series against Brisbane Grammar School. Further details about the match series is below.
